I miss some of the earlier HSN show hosts! Anyone remember Su Ferrera, Erin Morissey, Alice Cleveland, Chuck Spieser (sometimes I watched his shows just because I liked looking at him!), Tina Berry, Bob Circosta, Mindy McCortney & Steve Chaney. While browsing the internet I found a website that listed Steve Chaney as being deceased. Anyone have any info? I also miss Tootie! Those were the good ole days! I say bring them back! Who were your favorites?

I use to love watching Tina Berry doing the doll shows because her presentations were always informative and interesting. Although I remember most of the hosts you've mentioned, I can't remember their faces....... out of sight, out of mind. I don't know about Steve Chaney, I never saw him on HSN. Tootie was fun, but some people may not want to be tooted.

2beORnot2be--- The last part of your post made me laugh! Tina & her doll shows were my favorite! I heard HSN let Tina go after America's Store was shut down. I don't know the reason for her transfer from HSN to America's Store to letting her go altogether. I thought her to be a wonderful person & an awesome host! If HSN did let her go, I think it was a bad mistake on their part. I miss Tina & the dolls!

They used to have some great hosts, British, Bryan Hyder, John, Barbara M, and the pretty red-haired model that used to work late nights.

Lori Leland, Margaux St. Ledger. I like the blondes.

I watched Tina Berry and miss her. She presented the life size dolls with the gentleness you would give to a real toddler. She made the dolls come alive. Tina was certainly a professional well loved show host.

I don't know why they let Tina Berry go, especially since she had a fairly large fan base. It's possible "ageism" could have been the reason. Recently, I have noticed that many, of the newer hosts, are under forty or at least look like they're under forty. HSN, like most retailers, may be trying to target a younger demographic.

Steve Cheney had either a brain tumor or brain cancer. I really enjoyed watching him and was sad when he passed.

HI ALL~ I JUST JOINED THE FORUMS AND WAS GIVEN THE NAME BARGATHONBOBBIE. BARGATHON, CERTAINLY BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF A VERY VINTAGE, BUT FUN SHOPPING EXPERIENCE WITH TOOTIE, ETC. NOW EVERYTHING IS POLISHED AND WAY MORE PROFESSIONAL....BUT THE OLD DAYS HAD THEIR CHARM! READING SOME OF THE NAMES: TINA BERRY, ALICE CLEVELAND...WONDERFULLY WELL VERSED PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. STEVE CHANEY WAS VERY ILL FOR EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, BUT VERY RARELY DID ANY HOST COMMENT ABOUT HIS TRUE DIAGNOSIS. COLLEEN LOPEZ WAS A RELATIVE NEWBIE ON THE AIR WHEN I HEARD A CALLER ASK ABOUT STEVE'S CONDITION. I WAS IN ANOTHER ROOM AND OVERHEARD THE CALLERS SINCERITY, SO CAME IN TO WATCH/LISTEN. COLLEEN (ALWAYS COOL AND COURTEOUS) BECAME COLD, OBVIOUSLY UNCOMFORTABLE, AND CONVEYED TO THE CALLER THAT HE HAD PASSED AWAY THE DAY BEFORE (OR VERY RECENTLY). I WAS SADDENED TO HEAR THIS COMMENT AS WAS THE CALLER. WHAT REMAINS IN MY MIND WAS THE TONE TAKEN BY COLLEEN IN AN AWKWARD MANNER...BORDERING ON RUDE TO THIS WELL INTENTIONED, SINCERE CALLER, WHO WAS TAKEN-ABACK BY THE NEWS AND THE MANNER IT WAS CONVEYED TO HER.....

I always liked Steve Cheney. When Suzanne Somers first came to HSN, Steve was the only host she would work with. I remember when he passed and it was said he had a brain tumor.
Tina Berry still has a website I believe.
I remember there were 2 hosts named Robin as well. One was spelled Robyn and she had twins and the other was Robin and she hosted the morning show for awhile. She was very flakey but hilarious.
I remember Charlene (blonde hair) who was really, really flighty but she came out with some of the funniest comments. I also remember Tracey Edwards, Dan Dennis, June Hagman and Michelle Boudreaux. I'm sure there are several others who I am forgetting.

I remember this very well as I was watching when this happened. The caller started to cry when Colleen told her that Steve had passed and Colleen thanked the woman for calling and said she needed to move along. I too remember thinking it was horribly rude the way Colleen pushed the woman off the phone. I think Colleen was uncomfortable and didn't know what to say but Colleen really came off badly.

I wasn't watching when it happened. TPTB should have provided the hosts with a written statement to read, in case any inquiries arose. Many people do not act graciously during uncomfortable and tense situations. The program "Beat the Clock" was responsible for some my more "unique" impulse buys. Had no use for a Capodimonte porcelain vase but I bought it, anyhow, because the clock was ticking down.

I remember so many of the hosts mentioned. I especially remember Robin in the early mornings before work. I would sit in my family room, finish dressing and laugh at Robin's hilarious antics and of course the Robyn with the twins. I especially missed Terry Lewis Mason as a host, as I remember her from anchoring a local news program prior to her HSN host days.

I saw Judy Crowell yesterday on The Canadian Shop.Chan. selling Tonny Little pillows. She was introduced as a certified trainer who worked with TL for 17 years. I thought it was worth mentioning.

Do you remember Ed Purser? He died unexpectedly several years ago around Christmas from a sudden heart attack. He was about 45 years old. He had a beautiful singing voice and did a lot of the kareoke (sp) shows. Robin Michaels was a hoot. Always joked that Al Michaels, the sportscaster, was her father.
I also enjoyed Tamara Malish. She always dressed up on Halloween in a cute costume and she had a great sense of humor. She loved her motorcycle and always said she wanted to move to Montana.
What ever became of Liz Benbrook, the former model and later host? She was on America's Store. I think she was diagnosed with breast cancer.I hope she is doing well now.
I now watch so little HSN that I know very little and hardly the names of many of the current hosts, except the old-timers like Coleen, Bobbi, etc.

Was channel surfing tonight and saw Michelle Lau on Jewelry Television (JTV). Does anyone remember her from the old "sister" station to HSN? British (Ford)Hill is on JTV as well. I also recently saw Paul Deasy and Judy Crowell on ShopNBC. He has a gemstone line similar to Jay King's "Mind Finds" and she has a clothing line. A number of former HSN vendors are showing up on other shopping networks too - Daniel Kiviat, Suzanne Somers, Dimitri James (he sold a skincare line called Parthena many years ago). I've been an HSN shopper for 23 years so I've seen a lot of folks come and go. It always catches my eye when they pop up somewhere else.

What happened to that extremely handsome older guy with gray hair that used to do the morning shows with Lynn Murphy? He was such a good host and so pleasing to look at

I think you're refering to John Cremeans. He wasn't that old just prematurly gray.
